I heard somewhere that patience is a virtue and I always thought women were the only ones who had that. So, a lot of my basic beliefs have been shattered, because slowly at the 61st year of my existence I'm getting some. Patience, is very slowly creeping into my general practices when working on my models. Although my current model is suffering some very saggy tissue on the fuselage because I didn't wait to let it dry thoroughly between coats. I like to compare model building with billiards or guitar, when you mess up it's usually very noticeable. The last plane I used silver on I experimented mixing a little bit of white in it and the results were'nt too bad. You'll find the airbrush very non-forgiving when it comes to ill-prepared surfaces. Hang in there, you're doing great.
