single loop rubber braiding

found a nice howto on a single loop braid
ill be giving it a try heres a link if anyone is interested im still new to this and had never heard of it:)

What does the braiding do? what is the benefit of it?

When you use a longer motor, the problem is that when it unwinds it can let the prop fall out, and worse potentialy create quite a shift in the C of G of the model (depending where abouts in the Fuselage the "floppy" bit ends up) This results in a poor glide at the end of the flight, and can cause stalling and diving which can obviously wreck your model. Obviosly the nose falling out problem can be solved with hooks, magnets etc. Because I only fly for fun, I use quite short motors an don't always bother, the nose falling out can be useful on some models to limit the time in the air.....
