with the four electric motor set up how many power packs? tell me more about your set up please.
Howdy,
I use two batteries. One for inboard and one outboard. Each battery is rigged to a electronic speed control (you need 4 ESC). Outboard ESC plugged into Brodak C/L switch on plane, inboard ESC plugged into 2nd switch. When your ready to fly press button, motors will turn a tiny bit saying they are ready. Seven seconds later each ESC will go full power. Motors will stay at full power for a set amount of time then they will cut out for a split second, that is a alert telling you they are about to power down so you need to prepare for landing. You could run all 4 motors off a single timer and single battery but the drag would empty a LiPO very fast.
You need 2 aileron Y-cables to attach each ESC to battery
4 BH-1837 Electric Motor
2 BH-1845 Battery 7.4V x 850
4 BH-1862 ESC 12 amp
2 BH-1868 Timer
4 APC 6 x 5.5
