Round rubber

Postby woundedbear » Wed Nov 25, 2015 5:29 am

Hello everyone, Can anybody tell me if there is a company that makes round rubber motors for free flight models ? What I mean by round is the cross section, Round as opposed to the flat rubber that comes with every Guillow's kit. It seems to me that round rubber cord would have some advantages over the flat rubber motors. Let me know what you think.

get a stranded bungie cord.
cut the ends off. take off the braided rope exterior. Enough rubber to last a lifetime.

If there was such a thing as round rubber and it was better than flat we would all be using it. Guillows uses cheap over seas rubber thread, same stuff used in bathing suits and the old Halloween masks. For the life of me I don't understand why Guillows does not sell tan rubber. If you are looking for rubber, then buy some tan rubber you will be glad you did.
