Sometimes I think we will never see the day when all of Guillow's kits are laser cut. I was thinking that with all of the buzz about the 500 series being laser cut that we would have them by now, "but no", and I think we will never see any more laser cut kits from Guillows not now not ever.

Guillows has spent money and time on laser cutting and it takes time to put it out there. Guillows is digitally drawing the plans and waiting on old stock to dwindle down. You should see more kits by the end of the year. Gotta have faith.

Two interesting points of view. I really like the 500 Series kits. I really hope they do come out soon as laser cut versions. I recently built the Guillow's Cessna laser cut kit. The kit wood was very good. I only had 500 winds in to the model and it flew into a tree. The laser cut of course is a little bit more expensive. I am gladly willing to pay the extra. I am cutting out my current 500 series kit out of Contest Balsa. I don't mind cutting out parts but it does take longer.

I took a hot glue gun and repaired the Stuka. I am re trimming the model and hopefully be able to get it to fly.

Looks like it's flying pretty well. Just getting a few circuits out of a model that small is probably pretty good, especially considering it's not a simple, high wing job.

Although this video is not a Stuka it is still very impressive. https://youtu.be/YmTAvLxS9Dw

It stayed up there for a good while. I wonder if it got some help from a hot day, and a bit of thermaling.

I brought the second kit 509 in at an AUW of 38 grams. Flies much better than the one I made from kit wood. While trimming I put it up in a tree. This is only with 500 hand winds. https://youtu.be/XASDdNYKumI

Your Avenger looked to be flying perfect. Good job Widdog! To bad about the tree though.

Thanks 1778ppr. Was my last chance to fly before my cancer surgury. I made it through a difficult surgery. BTW I was able to get the model out of the tree with little damage. I am hoping to fly it again soon.
