Angie,

The Spitfire is my favorite plane... I thought the Spit would kill the 109 but my 400 series did not do so well. Although the Spitfire has a much larger wing area it was too heavy. My 400 Spit flew for a bit but my 109 with SCALE ws flew better. Both model built as per plans.

Save the canopy. You never know if you might build another or mess it up painting. I ordered a 2nd canopy for a 400 P-51 and cut it to look like it was opened . I get things sometimes just cause you got to spend a min. of $10 or something.

Well, that's all good and all if I had received my cowl. I think who ever packed my order just grabbed wasn't really looking at what I wanted :-(. I had cracked my cowl trying to fly my hellcat. I realize she's not going to fly and well I'd like to replace the cowl and put her up

Hellcat cowls are basically round. Maybe you can cut the bottom off a plastic bottle or somwthing.

It looked like you were at 25g or so? By the time youre done finishing, Its my guess it'll be around 45g. These 500 kits are heavy, but look good. I do them when I want a display model, After 4 or 5 failed attempts at flying them I gave up.
