Back to masking... I use the painters "Blue Tape" and that works fine for these models. The Tamiya tape is very nice, but I don't think you need stuff that good for the scale of these models. The alternative is to cut strips of paper, which I did when the color was hard to match, and now I prefer this method.

Here is a photo of 2 Me109's the Grey one has painted canopy and the tan one used paper:

PS: The grey one has had the wing repaired once, and the tan one still needs repair and a totally new wing! :(

Those are very pretty planes Mitch. Thank you for the ideas. I did finally get it painted got do some touch up were the paint came off when I pulled the tape off. Now I am working on making it not so tail heavy packing the nose with playdo.
I got to have a really awsome day... I got to go to Cavanaugh flight museum. We got to see the work on restoring a plane. They was restoring a plane like this one

Nice. I always wanted to volunteer on a restoration plane. I am very knowledgable about Engines of any type, and have extensive machinist and welding experience. But I dont know where to get involved. Oh yeah, Mitch, I was in the hobby store and they sell decal paper now you can put in yopur printer. I know you print your own stuff on tissue & dope it on, but you might wanna check it out. Its not that thick heavy stuff like stickers. It's nice.

I live not too far from Willow Grove Naval Air Base. Although its not in active use, Which sucks cause I used to go to the air show every year, but they have a small museum still. I saw an ME-262 in there. Maybe I'll ask them if they are doing any projects. Thanks

My poor hellcat sure didn't look like this when I tried to fly her. She flew maybe a yard or two and down she went. I guess she's to heavy. The nose cone took some damage and the rutter has to be glued back but other than that it's a tough little bird :-)
