Dissolving glue on balsa?

Postby camper66 » Tue Nov 30, 2010 10:09 pm

I have accidentally glued a piece in the wrong place. It is very tightly glued into place and I need to remove it to flip it around. I used Zap CA to put it in place. Is there anything I can use to loosen the glue enough to remove the piece?? Thank you for any help.

Use CA debonder or nail polish remover. That will usually work on CAed wood and metal.
A bumblebee isn't supposed to fly but does.
My plane is supposed to fly but doesn't.
Balances out doesn't it : )

Well, I got some CA debonder and worked slowly prying it off as it dissolved the glue and it worked. Thankfully, this part of the plane will be covered by the engine. Thanks for the suggestion.
