I am no pro, but when I cover I play it by area. If I can do two sections in a row I will. Just always end on a rib so your next section is merged over the rib (hides the join and gives it something better to grab on to).

Small pieces are definitely the way to go. The little instruction booklet that comes in all kits has some excellent advice for building these planes.

I have been building for sometime so I cover in large pieces with wet tissue. I would not recommend this until you have been covering for a few years. You will be greatly disappointed in the results if you cover in too large of sections. I highly recommend following the covering advise from Guillows. That will guarantee a smooth wrinkle free plane.

I'm with Scigs on that one, it will take you longer but you'll be happier with the result.
