Bill tell me that you don't have one large box dedicated to 1/16 inch stringers hanging around. I went through my extra stuff and found out that when organized it only takes about 1/3 the space as before. These old Guillow's boxes are great mini-organizers. Nice plane by the way Grandpa. Birthday?

As it comes out of the box, no. This is a static model. You could make it into a catapult type plane with some fairly simply mods, but no this ain't a flier.

Conversion to EDF... You'd have to make the plane hollow, first. I've got this plan blown up to about 8 feet long and will build a kewl static vergin soon. Problem, is once I build the first jet, nobuddy will want my prop jobs any more...

anyway....

Actually I have MANY 1000 series Guillow's boxes with MANY sizes of strip stock, all leftover...

Birthday?

No. Look in the back ground of all these pics and you'll notice another tomcat. This one was mine, and the other was my grandson, Lonnie's plane. They both turned out great...

See UserName TomCatFoolery

nice job, looks great.

Thank you, Alex...

wish i could blow things up to the sizes you do. only thing is, my mom would kill me about the noise it makes for saws and stuff, the other reason, is simple supply and equiptment shortages for that kinda stuff. i did blow up the bird dog to 150% just to mess around with it. i did get most of it done, but i lost interest in it. maybe someday... but not today
